Help Charities Worldwide Just By Downloading This Free Office App

SoftMaker, developers of FreeOffice, will donate 10 cents to charity for every single download.

Want to make a difference for important charities around the globe without actually reaching for your wallet or online bank accounts? What if you could make a donation without sending an email or doing anything remotely time-consuming? What if the only thing you had to do was click a link and download a free office app?

That’s precisely the opportunity that developer SoftMaker is offering via its annual “Load and Help” fundraising campaign.

All you have to do is download FreeOffice 2021 (Windows, macOS, or Linux) or FreePDF 2019 (Windows). For each download these apps get between today and December 24, 2021, SoftMaker will donate $0.10 to a variety of charities.

Office App Developer Donates More Than $50,000 (So Far)

“Previous donations from the campaign were already used to assist numerous charity projects – including the training of nurses in India, assistance for the homeless in Germany, school projects in Africa, and many other projects,” says SoftMaker’s Jordan Popov.

(The company finds organizations in need of help at BetterPlace.org, which has collectively gathered more than $177 million for good causes around the world.)

While 10 US pennies might seem inconsequential, SoftMaker has donated more than $50,000 in total since the “Load and Help” campaigns began. Suffice to say, every little bit helps.

Both office apps are completely free to download and use, with no strings attached.

Want to keep tabs on the donation drive? The Load and Help website will transparently display the latest number of downloads, the resulting donation amount, and the funded projects.

So let’s get out there and make a substantial difference this holiday season. Just by test-driving a free office app!

Notes on FreeOffice 2021 and FreePDF 2019 from the developer:

FreeOffice 2021 is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It offers the full functionality of a modern Office suite and includes the word processing software TextMaker, the spreadsheet software PlanMaker and Presentations for creating slide shows. The software is seamlessly compatible with Microsoft Office due to its native support for Microsoft DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX file formats.

FreePDF 2019 is the free version of the PDF editor FlexiPDF from SoftMaker. FreePDF enables users to convert PDF files as desired, thus pages can be deleted, rearranged or inserted from other PDFs. Pictures and drawings can be inserted into PDF documents. Text and picture elements can also be rearranged or removed. Last but not least, FreePDF is a powerful tool for viewing and annotating PDF documents and provides the option of creating PDF files from any Windows program with the integrated PDF printer.
